About Paul Roberts

Paul's career had been in sound post production working on many classic TV dramas, documentaries and animations. In 1984 Paul and his family move to Kingsbridge, Devon joining the ITV company TSW. When TSW lost its licence in 1992 Paul stayed living in Kingsbridge but commuted to London until 2000 when he set up his studio in South Devon. He ran it successfully with his wife Geunor until 2015. On the weekly train journey to London, Paul found writing as much fun as reading and was chuffed to discover people, both young and old, have enjoyed his stories. 

Paul has published three books... and has started to write his memories of a career in television. 

His first book The Trouble with Magic has been rested from publication. It was written purely for fun, and needs a good over hauling to make it more interesting to a wider audience. 

The next book The Doors to Yesterday a middle grade book for 8 to 12 year olds. 

Hidden deep inside an ancient barn is a powerful secret... It's a secret that William Luscombe has kept for most of his long life, but now wants to share it with his granddaughter, Pip. Set in South Devon across five centuries, the story is a fantastic adventure of time-travel, family, friendship, love and loss. 

Finally Yesterday Once More continues from The Doors to Yesterday. 

After the death of Pip's Grandad, William Luscombe, Pip decides with her Granny, Joan Luscombe, to take one final journey back into the past. But it's not straight forward when Pip and Joan are hounded by two modern day crooks. Meanwhile Pip's younger brother Joe and their best friend Connor are tangled up in the quest for a treasure that had been left behind over 500 years ago.

Both The Doors to Yesterday and Yesterday Once More have now been made into one book.
