About Gill McEvoy

Gill McEvoy has been publishing her poetry since 2006.  She received a Hawthornden Award in 2012.  She has published 3 pamphlets with Happenstance Press, the third of which, “The First Telling”, won the 2015 Michael Marks Award which gave her a large cheque and a residency at Harvard’s Centre of Hellenistic studies in Greece.. She is author of 3 poetry collections, the most recent collection “Are You Listening?” from Hedgehog Press, 2020. A “Selected Poems” should be coming out later this year.
